Candida Brady is a multi-Award winning screenwriter and director.
Her first narrative feature film Urban and the Shed Crew premiered at the Leeds International Film Festival in 2015l and starred Richard Armitage, Anna Friel and Neil Morrissey.
She wrote and directed Trashed, a documentary feature film starring Jeremy Irons with a score composed and performed by Vangelis. It was selected officially for the Cannes Film Festival in 2012 and Candida was nominated for the Camera d’Or. It won ten international film festival awards including the Special Jury Prize at Tokyo International Film Festival and the Green Film Festival.
An earlier work, Madam and The Dying Swan, written and co-directed with her partner Titus Ogilvy, tells the story of Dame Ninette de Valois, the founder of the Royal Ballet. It premiered at the BFI in 2012.
