Hugo Plowden


Hugo is an award winning playwright and writer for film and television.  He is currently developing two new TV drama series Bonded and Delta’s Edge.

His first play, Mother, Father, Son was originally broadcast on RTÉ Radio One and BBC Scotland and later adapted for stage. It was performed at the Arches, Glasgow where it won the annual Arches Awards and Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh.  His other plays include The Outing developed and performed at the Ustinov, Theatre Royal Bath, Citizenship developed by the Sherman Cymru Theatre, Cardiff and The Wild Boy which was shortlisted for the Terence Rattigan Society Award 2017.

Hugo’s radio plays The Visitor’s Book and Doping Games were broadcast by RTÉ with the latter winning for Best Writing at the prestigious New York Festivals’ World’s Best Radio Programmes Awards in 2013.
