About

Jonathan Humphreys is an award winning stage director.  He directed the world premiere of Chris Bush’s The Last Noël which was the Christmas show at the Old Fire Station, Oxford, and toured nationally in 2019.

His past productions include: The Mighty Walzer (Manchester Royal Exchange); The Rivals (Watermill); Romeo and Juliet, Boeing Boeing, The Village Bike (Sheffield Theatres); The Circus (Invisible Dot); The Hotel Plays (Defibrillator); Krapp’s Last Tape, Spoonface Steinberg (Hull Truck); Mojo Mickybo (Trafalgar Studios); Moscow Live (Hightide).

He was awarded the Regional Young Theatre Director’s bursary in 2010 to Sheffield Theatres where his production of Beckett’s Happy Days won a TMA award. He has been Associate Connections Director for the National Theatre Connections programme and works as a tutor for Open Door.
