Katie McNeice is a multi-award winning Writer, Director and Editor. She was been named as a Screen Ireland Rising Star for 2023.
Her debut short film In Orbit has received 57 awards including a Special Jury Mention at the Galway Film Fleadh and a ZeBBie nomination for Best Short Script from the Writers Guild of Ireland.
She won the Inaugural Rising Talent Award 2022 at the Kerry International Film Festival for her debut feature Who We Love, co-written with Graham Cantwell. It was nominated for six IFTAs at the 2022 Irish Film & Drama Awards including Best Script and Best Film.
Katie’s latest multi-award winning short film Lambing, premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh 2022 and has gone on to win multiple awards, including Best European Film & Best Director at European Cinematography Awards 2023, Best International Short Film at San Diego International Film Festival 2023, Best Irish Short at GAZE International LGBTQIA Film Festival 2023 and Best International Drama at Discover Film Festival 2022. The film was also nominated for the inaugural Iris Prize in 2022.
She is currently preparing to direct The Quiet Ocean (Focus Short/ Screen Ireland), written by Barry Smyth and produced by Fiona Kinsella.
